This 1977 GMC Jimmy High Sierra 4×4 underwent a mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment in 2022. Work has consisted of performing sheet metal repairs, repainting the exterior in black, adding orange gradient stripes, refreshing the tan interior, installing a 4″ Skyjacker lift kit, and mounting 15″ turbine-style wheels with 35″ tires. Power is provided by a 350ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and additional features include a KC light bar, a tan removable hardtop, a receiver hitch, power steering, and aftermarket mufflers.
The left door, front fenders, floorboards, and rocker panels were replaced before the truck was refinished in black and fitted with orange gradient stripes during the aforementioned refurbishment. Additional exterior details include a KC light bar with six individual lights, a receiver hitch, and chrome-finished bumpers and mirror caps.
A 4″ Skyjacker lift kit provides clearance for 15″ turbine-style wheels mounted with 35×12.50″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 white-letter tires. The truck is also equipped with power steering, the braking system was overhauled in November 2023 with a replacement booster, fluid, and front rotors and pads. A front-end alignment was also performed at that time.
The interior has been fitted with replacement tan carpeting and the dashboard, door panels, roof skins, seat backs, and center console have been refinished. Interior appointments include front bucket seats, dual cup holders, vent windows, door map pockets, and a heater/defroster.
The rear side panels are constructed from cedar planks. The seller notes that the weatherstripping throughout the vehicle has been replaced.
The 350ci V8 was factory-equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and produced 165 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was carried out in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Aftermarket mufflers are installed.
