This 1975 Ford Gran Torino two-door hardtop was refurbished in the style of the Starsky and Hutch police vehicle and has been refinished in red and white. Power is provided by a replacement 429ci V8 mated with a C4 three-speed automatic transmission, and additional features include air conditioning, power steering, power front disc brakes, 15″ slotted mag-style wheels, an MSD electronic ignition, an aluminum radiator, a dual exhaust system, and a Philco AM/FM stereo. Features include quad headlamps, body-colored sport mirrors, chrome bumpers, polished rocker and wheel opening trim, and a dual outlet exhaust that exits below the rear bumper.
The 15″ slotted mag-style wheels are mounted with Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires measuring 255/60 up front and 275/60 out back. The car is fitted with power steering and front and rear swaybars, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The shock absorbers and springs have been replaced.
The replacement 429ci V8 features an MSD electronic ignition, MSD spark plug wires, and a chrome air cleaner assembly and valve covers. Cooling is handled by an aluminum radiator. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, which has been rebuilt and a dual exhaust system with chambered mufflers has been installed.
