This 1972 GMC K1500 was refurbished and modified in 2020, including the installation of a 6.0-liter Vortec V8 fitted with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system. The truck is finished in yellow and equipped with a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, a Positraction rear axle, aftermarket 17″ wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Bilstein shocks, a dual exhaust system with cutouts, manually locking front hubs, and a receiver hitch. The cabin houses TMI bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl, along with a center console with cupholders, a Vintage Air climate control system, Dakota Digital instrumentation, and a retro-style AM/FM stereo.
Finished from the factory in Ochre, the truck was repainted. Equipment includes a wood-slat bed floor, tinted windows, a sliding rear window, and a receiver hitch.
Aftermarket polished 17″ alloy wheels are mounted with 35×12.50″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain K02 tires. The front axle is equipped with Warn manually locking front hubs, and Bilstein shocks have been fitted at each corner. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder. A Red-Head steering box was installed in 2021.
The cabin features TMI bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl along with a color-coordinated center console, headliner, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a retro-style digital AM/FM stereo, a Vintage Air climate control system, chrome door sill plates, and lap belts.
The aftermarket wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Dakota Digital instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, a central analog clock, and supplementary instrumentation.
The 6.0L Vortec V8 was installed in place of the factory 350ci V8. Red Chevrolet-branded valve covers have been fitted along with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system, MSD fuel injectors, an aluminum radiator, and a Kwik Performance serpentine belt conversion kit.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed 4L80E automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a Positraction rear axle. A dual exhaust system with cutouts and an H-pipe has been fitted. The transfer case fluid was changed in21.
