This 1970 Ford Mustang SportsRoof fastback is powered by a fuel-injected 351ci Cleveland V8 paired with a Hughes Performance three-speed automatic transmission, and other modifications include an MSD ignition system, a March Performance pulley setup, an aluminum radiator, a lowered suspension, a Currie 9” rear end, four-wheel disc brakes, a dual exhaust system, a B&M shifter, a retro-style push-button stereo, and aftermarket auxiliary gauges. Finished in yellow over black vinyl, the car also has black stripes, a chin spoiler, a rear wing, Magnum 500-style 15″ wheels, air conditioning, and power steering. In early 2023 the paint, interior, and drivetrain were refreshed.
The car was sanded and refinished in yellow with black stripes and accents in May 2023. Features include a front chin spoiler, a rear wing, halogen headlights, dual side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. The bumpers were replaced.
The Magnum 500-style 15″ wheels were replaced and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 235/60 at the front and 255/60 out back. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted discs at each corner. The suspension has been lowered 2″.
The cabin features high-back front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl. Interior appointments include woodgrain trim, air conditioning, a B&M shifter, a fold-down rear seat, a retro-style aftermarket AM/FM radio, and aftermarket speakers.
A 120-mph speedometer and secondary gauges are supplemented by a column-mounted Sunpro tachometer as well as a trio of auxiliary aftermarket gauges below the center stack.
The 351ci Cleveland V8 was installed and augmented by an MSD Atomic fuel injection unit, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Ford Racing valve covers, an MSD ignition and coil, a March Performance pulley setup, a chrome-finished alternator, and an aluminum radiator.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. The car also has a Currie 9″ rear end and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.
