This 1968 Cadillac DeVille convertible is finished in red with a power-operated white convertible top over red leather upholstery and is powered by a 472ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional features include a push-button AM/FM radio, a heater, fresh-air vents, a power-adjustable front seat, power windows, power steering and brakes, and 15″ wheels with full covers. The body was repainted, while work has included reupholstering the seats, and installing a replacement power antenna and rear trailing arm bushings.
The car left the factory finished in San Mateo Red (48) and was repainted in the 1990s. Equipment includes a power-operated white convertible top, a driver-side mirror, stacked quad headlights, recessed windshield wipers, chrome bumpers, and rear fender skirts. An aftermarket air horn was installed and the power antenna was replaced in 2023.
The 15″ steel wheels wear Cadillac-crest covers and are mounted with older 235/75 Goodyear Arriva whitewall tires. A full-size spare is secured in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted drums.
The 472ci V8 was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque and features a four-barrel carburetor and a blue-finished intake manifold and valve covers. The car has been fitted with an electric fuel pump.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
