The truck was refurbished and modified which included refinishing the exterior in yellow, refreshing the black interior, installation of a 302ci HO V8, and fitting a column-shifted C4 three-speed automatic transmission.
Additional modifications include a roll cage, fender flares, a suspension lift with Rancho shocks, front disc brakes, and aftermarket wheels. Recent work included rebuilding the carburetor, servicing the braking system, fluid changes, and replacement of the water and fuel pumps as well as the alternator, gaskets, belts, fuel lines, and exhaust and ignition components.
The suspension is modified with a Rancho lift kit, and aftermarket 15″ wheels are fitted with BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires. A steel spare wheel with a matching tire is mounted to the rear swing-away carrier. Braking is handled by vented discs up front and drums at the rear, and the system was recently serviced with replacement of the master cylinder and brake booster.
The interior is outfitted with replacement front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black upholstery and accompanied by a matching dashboard pad and carpeting. The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a body-colored steel dashboard, which houses switches for a battery cutoff and electric fuel pump.
