The car has no mechanical issues and runs very well. The complete restoration of all the mechanicals and electricals was completed about 5,000 miles ago. There are some upgrades as listed below. The original color of this car was Old English White. The current color is Florida Green over Old English White which is a correct color for a 1962 3000. During a fender off repaint the bottoms of the doors and doglegs were replaced with repair panels. No other rust was discovered and car does not have filler anywhere. Frame is solid and outriggers, which are a problem area are excellent and don’t need any attention. You already know when buying a Big Healey rust is always an issue and occasionally an unwanted surprise. You will not be disappointed with this car. When considering this car remember it is NOT Concours. However, as far I I know it is matching numbers except for the block which was replaced. I have the original block which is available at no additional cost if you want to use it. The flaw in the original block is a small (size of a quarter) chip out of the very bottom most of #5 cylinder. A sleeve will take care of it if you want to go that direction. Other than that it could become a concurs car if that’s what you want. At area British Car shows the car has won multiple Best in Show, 1st Place and 2nd Place Trophies so it shows very well. In a 250 “all models” show it twice won best in show for class.
