This 1959 Chevrolet Impala convertible is powered by a 348ci V8 with three two-barrel carburetors. Work consisted of removing the body from the frame, repairing rust, and repainting the car in red along with refurbishing the tri-tone interior and overhauling the chassis. A TH350 three-speed automatic transmission is fitted along with a power-operated white soft top, rear fender skirts, dual rear antennas, power steering, power drum brakes, spinner-style wheel covers, power windows, a push-button AM radio, and a dual exhaust system.
The body was removed from the frame after which the paint was stripped, rust repairs were performed, and it was repainted in red. Details include a power-operated white soft top, a wrap-around windshield, fender-mounted wind splits, front bumper guards, rear fender skirts, dual rear antennas, tailfins, and chrome body-side trim and bumpers.
Black 14″ steel wheels wear spinner-style covers and are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall tires. A full-size spare is located in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted drums at each corner.
The bench seats were reupholstered in red vinyl with tri-tone cloth inserts. Equipment includes a heater and defroster, a lockable glovebox, an electric clock, power windows, and a push-button AM radio.
The 348ci V8 is topped with triple two-barrel carburetors and features a dual-snorkel air intake assembly and an orange engine block, intake manifold, and valve covers. The oil was changed and the battery was replaced.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. A replacement dual exhaust system has been installed.
