The originality of the car is outstanding as only three things have changed from new—one; the seat upholstery, two; a professional paint job and the addition of Turner front disc brakes in 2012″.I believe both front and rear windows were removed when the car was painted, because the rubber looks a lot newer than 64 year old stuff and there’s evidence a sealant was used. Also, the trunk, doors, rear and wing window rubber look newer – but the cat whiskers and channel appear original. Windows open and roll freely with no cracks. The engine is the original Studebaker 289 cubic inch V8 with a 4bbl Carter carb. Borg Warner manual three-on-the-tree with overdrive.I’ve always used Amsoil and I’m sure most of the 225 horses (hp) are still available on demand from the engine! The odometer reads 14,147.
